Silkscreen Paintings by Adly MABRO My silkscreen is entirely hand-made. I build a screen in much the same way I stretch a canvas for painting. I developed a technique to reproduce an artwork much similar to an Andy Warhol type of silkscreen, but using a large number of colors. The canvas or paper on which I do the silkscreens, are each placed in a registered position, then the set of screens for the color separation are printed using the individual colors for each screen, to build the picture in layers. The prints may then be individually retouched to make a unique painting print in a limited edition.
